Position: The Employer agrees to hire the Employee as an On-Call Security Guard. The Employee agrees to perform all duties and responsibilities associated with this role which include but are not limited to:
Work Location: The Employee may be required to work at various client sites within Ontario as directed by the Employer.
Reporting: The Employee will report to Manager/Supervisor or another individual as assigned by the Employer.
Start Date: The employment will begin on October 15, 2025.
Probationary Period: The first [3 months] of employment will be considered a probationary period. During this period, the Employer may terminate employment without notice or payment in lieu of notice.
The Employee understands that this is an on-call position and that work hours are not guaranteed. Shifts will be assigned based on the operational needs of the Employer, and the Employee may be required to work on short notice.
The Employee agrees to be available to work as needed, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Wage: The Employee will receive a minimumum wage per hour or agreed by both parties otherwise, paid on a [bi-weekly] basis or agreed by both parties otherwise.
Deductions: All required statutory deductions will be made from the Employee’s wages, including but not limited to income tax, Canada Pension Plan (CPP), and Employment Insurance (EI).
Overtime: Overtime will be compensated in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA).
Termination by Employer: The Employer may terminate this agreement at any time for cause or without cause by providing the minimum notice or pay in lieu of notice as required by the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA).
Termination by Employee: The Employee may terminate this agreement by providing 1 week of written notice.
Resignation: In the event of resignation, the Employee must provide 2 weeks' notice in writing.
The Employee agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary, sensitive, or client information obtained during the course of employment. This obligation continues after the termination of employment.
The Employee must comply with all health and safety regulations and policies set forth by the Employer and clients' workplaces.
The Employee will immediately report any workplace injuries or hazards to the Employer.
Licensing and Training: The Employee is responsible for maintaining a valid Ontario security guard license and will complete any required training as mandated by Ontario law or the Employer.
Uniform and Equipment: The Employer will provide the Employee with the necessary uniform and equipment. The Employee is responsible for maintaining these items in good condition.
This contract is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
Any amendments to this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
This contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the terms of employment.
